Bobby Mills

Bobby Mills is a designer and craftsman based in North Devon, England. Mills creates one of a kind, hand made furniture pieces and objects from nationally sourced wood.

Every piece begins with wood that is locally and sustainably sourced from conservation projects or windfall from one of the UK’s ancient woodlands, lending the wood a unique character as a result of the weather conditions to which it has been exposed. Sweeping changes in the seasons and Atlantic winds allow the trees to grow with unusual forms rather than in ways that are predictable or consistent. Utilising both traditional and modern techniques, Mills works intuitively and looks to engage with the natural lines and structures in the wood, whether it be in creating a vessel, stool or chair.
