Bobby Mills Windblown Oak Vessels.

Gathered from a fallen tree that stood in the South Downs National Park for over two centuries, these vessels are turned on a traditional woodworking lathe to achieve a wall thickness of only a few millimetres. During the slow drying process, the wood settles into organic forms as the tension around different grain structures is released. The outside of the vessel is finished smooth, whilst the inside has a raw tool finish.

Hand-carved date and signature on the underside. Matte hardwax oil finish.
