Geoffrey B. Small Oversized Large Volume Coat in Alashan 2-Ply Cashmere

One of only two pieces of its kind, and made exclusively for Blue Mountain School.

Created from an original peaked-lapel long length coat pattern, and designed from extensive tailoring research, the coat is cut from super soft 460 gram Alashan cashmere, woven by Fratelli Piacenza of Pollone Biella. Lined with 16-momme pure silk from the Brenna family of Como, the coat was then especially hand washed and dyed in Cavazere Venezia, to achieve maximum softness, drape, and patina. 

The design features functional surgeon’s cuffs,  hand-cut besom welt and flap pockets,and a hidden lapel button for variances in styling. Also included are 2.5 centimetre seam allowances, a tailored centre vent, and real-horn buttons from the Fontana family of Parma.
