Helga Ritsch

Helga Ritsch is a ceramic artist who established her studio in Zurich in 2001. Her work is entirely wheel-thrown and handmade in stoneware and porcelain.

Drawing inspiration from the woods and mountains surrounding her studio in the South Grisons, Risch creates unique pieces that are focused on a visual search for simplicity, serenity, and beauty.

Her work falls into two main categories: the Edition Potterpieces are made from translucent white porcelain that are created for everyday use; the Edition Masterpieces are made from black or celadon glazed stoneware that are created for display.
